Serving platter from the highly esteemed UMBRA (Brown Azur) series designed by the famous Danish designer Jens Harald Quistgaard (IHQ).

The UMBRA / AZUR series was designed in the 1960s and initially produced by Kronjyden. Then Nissen took over the production and finally from 1972 UMBRA / AZUR pieces were produced by Bing & Grøndahl. So you can find UMBRA / AZUR pieces by all these makers.

The color is mocca brown and the plate has a beautiful embossed flower decor around the rim.

Marked on verso with the old Kronjyden backstamp, so it´s from the early prodution, ca. 1960s.

No chips, cracks, crazing or repairs.
Minor irregularities in glaze.
