Original antique chromolithograph of the Rocky Mountain Trout (Salmo Mykiss Walbaum) by Sherman Foote Denton. Denton provided the illustration for New York State's Forest, Fisheries & Game Commission in 1901. This is the much less common larger version that was never bound, but rather separately issued as part of a folio of unbound plates for framing. These unbound plates contain Denton's printed signature and are larger and of higher print quality that those found in the books. It is an original antique lithograph, not a modern reproduction.

Condition:
Very good. Heavy paper with wonderful original color.
It will be packaged in a sealed plastic sleeve on a backing and will ship within a rigid mailer for protection.
