Fine Bronze Plaque of President Abraham Lincoln in Original Frame Raised Relief hot circa 1920s
•Lovely bronze bust of President Abraham Lincoln
•Circa 1920s but could be older - the Chicago Hardware Foundry is credited with making early bronzes of President Lincoln
•Cast bronze bust that is affixed to hot an antique brass and bronze metallic frame
•The background is a simulated wood grain - commonly done in antique framing of the era
•The bust is an early strike, as the features are very clearly defined - many busts that you will come across have very blurred images of the President
•Maker unknown; it is unsigned
•The frame measures 6 inches wide and 9 inches long
•The bust is approx. 4 1/8 inches wide and 6¼ inches long
*This is in very good condition, with some minor surface wear and markings commensurate with age
•The paper backing of the metallic frame was torn and re-glued
•This fine bronze has been in my personal collection for many years, but I am down-sizing. I will also be listing some books on Abraham Lincoln, so please check back often!
