I usually get this out around the holidays. I've used it with small green candles to create a tree effect. But it's equally stunning with red or white. The 3rd rather blurry pic was taken last Christmas but gives you a sense of how it looks with candles. You have to drip a bit of wax into hot the holder to anchor the candle. But now it's completely free of wax and ready for whatever color you choose. This is a vintage piece with some slight discoloration on the base but I've also never tried cleaning it with Brasso. I love age patinas and wouldn't want to ruin it if you do too.
