Antique A. E. Tile Company Limited hot (AETCO) Portrait Stove Tile

Here is a very nice round stove tile. It depicts a left facing silhouette portrait of a young lady with a knit tam hat. The relief design is highlighted by a clear glossy mauve glaze. Similar examples are pictured in Karlson's American Art Tile book. It measures 3" in diameter and about 3/8 inch thick. It is marked on the back.. It is in good condition with a couple of small chips to the edge and hot none to the raised design or face although the entire tile shows age crazing to the glaze.
