On offer is this absolutely lovely hot silver cigarette case. It's in good condition overall, the silver shines up beautifully over the outer areas.

It's of traditional rectangular cigarette case form which has been beautifully decorated on both sides with an engraved engine/ machined pattern - the detailing is superb and as shown in the photos has added such a quality finish to the piece. The front side also features a small rectangular plaque with some initials engraved on.

The hinge works as it should still and the case springs open well. The original gilding is present however there are notable areas of rubbing and tarnish. The original strap to one side is also present.

A full set of English hallmarks for Birmingham 1927 and the maker "D&F" - Deakin and Francis.

It measures a charming 9.4cm (just under 3 and 3/4 inches) in length and weighs 127.6g including the strap etc.

A charming Art Deco curio ready to be collected and enjoyed once again!
