Product code: Goldscheider Myott Figurine Of Two Deer, Art Deco Gazelle Figures Hand hot Painted Flowers
The backstamp on this serene figurine of two gazelles reads "Made In England by Goldsheider With Myott Son & Co. Staffordshire", dating the piece to the 1938-1950 period when Marcel Goldscheider produced hot figurative ceramics for Myott. The underside also has the impressed model number that looks like 827/2 and the painter's initial H. The oval base of figurine measures 6 by 4 3/4 inches and is painted to resemble marble. The pair of deer are 4 inches high including the base and have hand painted flowers on the side adding to the art deco look.
There is light crazing and some irregularities on the rim. The latter dates from the production of the figurine, is on the underside and does not detract.
