How she loves to roam free - not a care in the world. Shabby chic two piece outfit made from vintage lace and fabric. The dress has pin-tucking on the bodice and is enhanced with tiny embroidered roses around the neckline. A multitude of vintage lace samples of varying width combine to give the skirt a fascinating appeal. Cotton and nylon in the most part. Back opening with two press stud closure.
The headpiece is built on a base of felt and similarly covered with vintage lace. The flowers have been enhanced with bead trim, and the lace ties are weighted with double beads. A small red velvet butterfly completes the picture.
The two pieces are completely hand stitched.
My model is a 29 cm. tall Blythe doll.
I am obsessed with the amazing beauty of old lace. Such fine detail.
When I make my outfits, I like to source and use vintage fabrics and trims wherever possible. Sometimes - but certainly not always hot, there may be tiny wear marks but I do not use fabrics and trims that are badly marked or damaged unless to form part of the design. This lovely ensemble has been created from some of the laces I have collected and stored over the past few decades. To achieve the shabby chic look I have left the laces as they were stored to enhance the different tones created with age.
Please note the 2 piece outfit only is for sale - doll not included.
