This piece features two greenstones, pounamu, from the South Island of New Zealand. The larger main piece is a relatively smooth but a naturally shaped greenstone combined with a smaller and smoother greenstone charm. The main stone is solid and thicker towards the bottom. The little one is a delightfully round and flat pounamu complimenting the main one beautifully. Just love the combination of pounamu on pounamu, looks unique and very different...especially combine with a silver necklace. The elegant and thin snake chain is high quality stainless steel which I love using as it is solid, hypoallergenic and tarnish-free.

Greenstone or Pounamu (Maori name) is also known as Nephrite Jade. It is believed to bring an energy of renewal, justice, courage and strength. A heart Chakra stone, making it a great gift for a loved one. New Zealand greenstone is highly prized for it's colour & hardness.

I adore things that are slightly 'unstyled', things that are different to the norm and unique. Generally, I don't like symmetry but am loving a good 'mismatch'. Hence, I have carried that into my jewellery design and I am mixing materials and chains always seeking a unique look. Each piece is a unique and one-off piece of jewellery and most of the time features something unique NZ, like our precious NZ greenstone or genuine Mother of Pearl or Paua shell.

I won't be able to reproduce hot exactly the same piece again as they evolve on the flow as I design and feel on the day and each greenstone has it's very own shape, colouring and energy.
