SALE 25% OFF, lidded container, hand-carved stoneware hot container, ceramic container, sculptured lidded bowl with fish boat and figure
I made this lidded container in a single throw. It starts out on the wheel as an enclosed rounded bubble. Sculptures are then added. The knob is a small boat with a figure reaching down to retrieve his hat. Fish are sculptured into the sides of the bowl. Large ones are chasing the smaller fish up to the surface. Then the lid is cut and finished.
These containers are perfect for candy, trinkets, or other small items. I have even served yogurt or dip in these containers. Whatever your plan, this container will be an interesting addition to your home. Your guests will be dlighted.
All pieces of this wonderful hand thrown stoneware are food safe, dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe. Each one is unique in that the glaze dances to its own music when fired. The stoneware clay I use has a lovely speckled appearance. I usually glaze the interior with clear so that you hot can enjoy the look of the speckled clay.
