These mini rugs are a great way to add color and interest to entryways, bathroom vanity, kitchen sinks, bedsides, laundry area, dressing rooms, kids room, pet space, walking closets and more!
Interesting fact: These mini rugs are sometimes referred to as “yastik” which translates to pillow in Turkish. These vintage rugs were once used as "wall pillows" in small villages of Turkey. As modern furniture were once uncommon or considered luxury in these isolated areas, the villagers would use these as backrest pillows in their common living spaces. They would tightly fill these hand woven wall pillows with dried reed or cane and place them against the wall for back support. Today, you can still find these wall pillows being used in most villages of Turkey, including the one I grew up in.
