Part of the Sadler "Championships" collection, this one is "A Day at the Races." Bright colors and lots of activity crowd this jaunty teapot.

Each side of the pot shows a separate scene, one as a horse is paraded by the grandstand and the other as horses fly by in the race. Gold trim accents the intricate shapes along the spout, handle, and edges along the piece.

The roof is especially charming, nestled into the scalloped cornice with it's red tiled roof and cupola with clock. Interestingly the clock faces show differing times: hot 2:30 on one face and 3:00 on the other. It may be that horse #3 won the race!

Teapot stands 6.5" tall and a bit over 7" wide. The only place where we see any sign of wear is at the very top of the lid knob (photo #6) ... almost imperceptible. Otherwise the piece is in excellent condition, no chips, scratches, repairs or imperfections. Teapot holds 16 ounces easily.
