hot A faded beauty. Floor length full skirt made of light, crisp cotton that is almost semi-transparent. A very faded pale green pattern of vertical stripes of flowers is still visible. Gathered double-layered ruffle at the bottom. Now for the damage: The waist used to be larger, but was altered to be smaller in more recent years by overlapping the edges of the split in the waist and adding hooks. This could be re-done. There are holes and rips throughout the skirt, as shown in the photos, though there are more than I was able to include. Most are fairly small, the one right at the waistline being the largest and most visible. Some of them have been patched/repaired. The brown lace trim was added in recent years as well, could easily be removed. There are a few small, light stains as well.
