Hot Octopus

The hot Octopus wall hanging is whole cloth painted which means it began as a white piece of fabric which is covered totally with fabric paint. Even the blue background was painted with fabric paint. The painting, when completed, is heat set to make it permanent. The octopus was then outlined in black thread to add definition. The piece consists of three layers, the octopus, a cotton batting in the middle and a backing fabric. There is a hanging sleeve on the back to facilitate hanging on a decorative rod. The wall hanging can be washed in cold water and ironed on cotton setting if needed.
