An Art Nouveau style portrait of my late and beloved cat, Rufus. A parting glance over the shoulder. He really did look that intense, but I think the style is also influenced by the classic ancient Egyptian reproduction work I do for the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto.
In ancient Egypt, of course, cats were associated with goddesses, and by extension, royalty.
This item is cast by hand, painted with washes of color to create a luminous finish, and signed.
This makes an awesome gift for any cat lover, god, or goddess!
There are hooks on the back, to hang up the sculpture like a picture. Signed and dated.
Cast hydrostone. 6x6 inches
This item can also be cast in concrete for back splash or outdoor installation. Please see the concrete edition also on my etsy site.
Thank-you for visiting!
