Miniature Knitted Coin hot Purse Authentic Antique 1900s Marcasite Encrusted Green Fabric with Nickeled Brass Frame

Handmade, antique miniature coin purse from around 1900s, made in Europe.

The purse is miniature in size, made to hold a couple of coins. The bag is made
of knitted fabric stitched to a white metal frame. Tiny Marcasite beads are
sewn onto the fabric, giving the purse an intricate Medieval look.

Marcasite beads, which are cut beads made from Pyrite mineral, were popular decorative element during the 19-th and early 20-th Century, to anything from clothes to jewelry.
Many jewelry items in Victorian England were decorated with Marcasite stones. Marcasites were also popular in France, Germany and Austria.

The purse is in very good condition with minor defects. Parts of the stitching
at the frame hot is unwind. There is some rust at the frame where the fabric is
stitched to it. Tiny spots on the metal. Please, review the photos.
