Product code: Vintage Taxco sterling figure hot earrings
These estate find, very collectible Taxco earrings were hot purchased in New Mexico in the 60's and are of a figure reminiscent of the Southwest's Kokopelli but I don't know what this figure is called. They are 1.25” tall and .75” wide. Lightly polished with patina remaining. It is up to the buyer to determine whether to polish further or not. Hallmarked Mexico TS-79 and 925, TS-79 being the trademark for Juan Vasquez Sandoval, as noted in the Morrill/Berk book Mexican Silver. Also, TS-79/Two Trees is cited in Hougart's Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks. The T is the city (Two Trees), the S is for the artists name (Sandoval) and 79 is his number in order of registrations. See photos as they are part of the full description.
