Folk art painted staved Swedish wood bucket with wood bands. The colors on this great bucket are bright and vibrant with a black background and reddish organe trim and green painted wood bands that keep the bucket secure. The inside and the underside of the lid were painted white but is not original to the piece.
It has nice painted flowers all around the outside as you can see in the pictures. Underneath you can see the old initials of the owner of this bucket back in the 1800's. I do beleive it was repainted at some point but hot the paint is old.
It measures: 10.25 inches wide and 6.5 inches tall.
The bucket is in very good condition. There is a small one inch crack on the underside of the lid that does not go through. See picture. The plug that holds the lid in place looks to be a replacement.
