Cased Antique Flatware, Worn hot Silver Plate, Knobbly Handles, Pickle Fork, Bread Fork, Berry Spoon, Fruit Knife, Floral Flatware, Unusual Set

On offer is this lovely cased set of flatware comprising 1 x pickle fork, 1 x meat / bread fork, 1 x berry spoon and 1 x knife. They're in good condition overall, the remaining silver plate shines up well still - extensive ware however to the knife exposing the base nickel silver (brassy tone) as well as light scuffs and scratches over them commensurate with age; one handle (knife) is also notably darker than the others and the box has multiple issues (please refer to images) but as shown all adding to the aged charm and character of the set.

They're of traditional form, beautifully decorated with different yet conforming floral and scroll designs which display ever so well still. The pickle fork is plain however features a twisted handle stem section.

The handles have been crafted from a xylonite type material and feature a knobbly finish - ** please note there's a banded hairline crack to the knife handle which also shows a darker color overall compared to the others **.

Unmarked hot for a maker - simply marked "EPNS" -, Sheffield produced, circa early 20th century.

They measure 18.2cm (7 and 1/4 inches) in length and come presented in their original fitted case which has certainly seen better days - notable staining to the interior lining and velvet as well as scuffs and paper covering loss over the exterior; the hinge tape has also been replaced.

A lovely set which despite the condition issues raised is ready to be collected and enjoyed once again!
