This is an antique centerfold engraving from Harper's Weekly hot, an illustrated newspaper published in New York in 1888. The prints in this series which may have text on the reverse, are printed on what is called rag paper, an antique paper that is stronger and far more durable than the newspaper material we use today.

CONDITION: EXCELLENT -- The prints in this series are clear, clean, and bright. No foxing, tears, creasing or folds (except for centerfold). This print has no binding holes at the centerfold, which is very rare for these large old newspaper engravings. This is a really fine image. Excellent definition. Nice clean, sharp lines, and wide margins.
This print is about 135 years old and guaranteed to be original. It is an authentic old print from the aforementioned newspaper and NOT A MODERN REPRODUCTION.
The print, including the white border (if any) is about 16 x 23.
