This pendant measures approximately 1 3/4" tall from Sterling Silver wire bail to the bottom of pendant and is approximately 7/8" wide.

Copper Firebrick is a by-product from the copper mining days in the Upper Peninsula from around 1845 until around 1887. At the time Michigan was the nation's leading producer of copper. Copper firebrick is made from the old furnace chimney bricks from the copper processing. The copper would become vaporous once heated and would permeate the porous firebricks of the chimney. Copper firebrick is a very limited resource, with hardly any remaining.
