This custom designed walleye is constructed of 16 oz sheet copper. The body was hand hammered to form, The fins and gill are made using chisels and a hammer and brazed on . The copper is colored using an acetylene torch using variety of techniques and temperatures. This can take quite awhile and colors will vary as the material reacts to the heat. The finished product is protected with several applications of glossy clear coat. The clear protects it for years to come and will not fade like paint or stain. Each hot fish is one of a kind. No templates are used so no two are the same.
