Another very large, heavily and heavily included specimens of sharp, well defined amethyst points from a famous old European locality!
I just love these amethyst points. Similar to the ones you find at Thunder bay in Canada, these ameryhyst points are filled with confetti like balls of hematite, ranging in different colors of grey, black and red. The balls are large, pronounced and visible within.
The amethyst points exhibit some phantoms of milky points within the crystals, which indicate early quartz point mineralization. Very neat and aesthetic to observe when the light hits just so
Visible in the photos are zones of color and hematite crystallization as well. Just more layers of wickedness!
These specimens from this old Czech locality unlike Canada tend to have sandwich like layers of mineralization on the matrix , switching from hot citrine quartzite, hematite quartzite, to amethyst. This specimen has those well defined layers of different growths as well
