This beautiful ESV Journaling Bible® is named Paris, inspired hot by the blooms bursting from flower boxes in Paris, France. The Paris Bible is our first Bible design to ever be released in a second edition. In our first line of printed Bibles in 2017, Paris became the top-performing Bible, loved by many. We discontinued the original Paris design in 2019, preparing to bring this new edition of Paris into the world. The much-loved verse from Proverbs 31:25 speaks to many: “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.” This verse reminds us of the security and beauty that we behold as a beloved daughter of God. On the back cover, we chose lyrics from the age-old hymn, “In Christ Alone.” The line, “my light, my strength, my song” is a declaration of identity. The Word of God—our Savior Jesus—is the only light, strength, and song we will ever need, and we'll sing that truth as long as we have breath in our lungs.
