Men's hot by Jacques Fath - ribbed Pullover Sweater

1950s Black pullover silk

sweater.  Label reads Made in France - Jacques Fath Boutique - Paris.    It is in very good condition, no holes or wear. The shoulder line is unusual as it appears as a semi-raglan at the back.

I have researched this hot item as best as I can and what I did find was that the boutique opened in 1950, he passed away in 1954 at the age of 42 and his wife Genevieve continued with the business until 1957, so it appears the actual boutique was short lived.  The Fath boutique offered more affordable items, such as accessories, scarves, ties, and stockings.

A very nice example of a mens sweater from one of the best 1950s designers - Jacques Fath.
