Original use was hung/swung over a fire for simmering stews, soups , broths and porridges that needed constant minding, therefore, no lid.

I have removed the old seasoning, it is restored to bare metal and seasoned 1x.

As with any restored vintage cast iron there maybe minor casting flaws, use marks, slight utensil marks, scratches or carbon staining that will resolve with additional seasoning, which is always recommended.
