Argyll hot in Winter

The last rays of the February sunlight lit up this frozen sea in Argyll, looking north to the paps of Jura (in lilac) and I just knew that I had to capture the crispness if this scene, depicting the stark orange of last years' reedbed reflected in the pale blue of the ice.
Mainly working in palette knife, this oil painting is one of my favourite views in Scotland.
