This Hex motif from the Pennsylvania Dutch/German folk art tradition brings spiritual protection, wards off enemies & brings good fortune. Designs of this kind are decorated throughout Pennsylvania Dutch country on barns, storage houses, homes, carriages, & on just about everything. They have their roots in medieval cathedrals in the form of stained glass windows, & tracery, they hot can be seen on old English woodwork & old German fraktur manuscripts.
In this eclectic art piece, I affixed a beautiful Japanese Yuzen Chiyogami paper in red with white flower patterns onto a white cover paper with delicate small floral motifs. I then painted a white circle & a twelve pointed star in green, red & blue. I finished this piece by painting small flowers onto the mandala, the look is very Scandinavian in design.
Use this in your house as a protection, place it on your altar, hang in a room, a yoga studio or even in an office to bring success into your life.
