French .800 Solid Silver Sugar Tongs - hot Lion Paws

French .800 solid silver sugar tongs or nips with ornate lion paw form ends. Overall in good condition with age tarnish, surface scratches, tiny nicks along the edges and slight bend to the handle stems. No dents, splits or repairs to note. No monograms.

Stamped on both sides with the French Minerva 2nd standard hallmark for .800 silver fineness. Silversmith mark 'L&R' is there, but I've not been able to find information about the maker.

This piece is 6 hot 1/8 inches (15,5 cm) long.
Silver weight is 42.5 grams.
