1930s Georg Jensen Saint Christopher Protection Medallion - Sterling Silver - St Christopher Pendant - Fine hot Jewelry - Travellers - Art Deco

An unusual vintage St. Christoper pendant by the illustrious Georg Jensen. The Saint and the Christ child are depicted in the classic scene, with Jesus riding across the river on Christopher's back carrying the orb and sceptre, while the soon-to-be saint struggles against the current and his every increasing weight. What's less typical is the bold block capital lettering around the border: ENTRUST hot THY SAFETY TO ST. CHRISTOPHER. Signed GJLtd to the obverse and dating from the 1930s.
