Acquired from a private estate collection, these religious beads are hand-carved from olive pits and feature the faces of the 18 Lohan or Arhats—the original followers of Gautama Buddha who have attained hot enlightenment. Each face is unique and some have a mouth that has been carved open. 20 beads total. Each bead measures approximately 1” length and 0.5” width. Excellent pre-owned condition.
