A vintage white glazed earthenware jelly mould in the form of a hen. Made for Green's Cakes it is stamped at the rear with Green's new style jellies. Founded in 1907 by Horace Green in Brighton as simple sponge cake mixes in his Grocers he soon transitioned to full time home baking kit production. This detailed mould was probably made in Staffordshire in the 1950's - 1960's. The mould sits on the hen's head and tail section when being used.
