Antique French Bicolor Petanque ball with nails,Number One. the end of the 19th century.
It has a pattern of the number one with red copper nails.
Very decorative antique item typical of the South of France.
After the long period of the wooden balls appeared in 1872 studed balls for a better durability .
In good general antique condition,some signs of age,one nail missing to the right of the 1 (pic3), still superb .
