This is a superb & very rare Art Deco period multi-tool Dress Pocket Knife by George Butler of Sheffield dating from around 1915-1920
It has five stainless steel tools including main & secondary Spear blades 48mm & 39mm long, 62mm sprung scissors, a 67mm pin awl & a 67mm heavy awl with a file edge.
The frames & separator are milled edge brass with central stainless steel back springs & silver capped brass rivets.
The scales are spectacular! 2mm thick Mother of Pearl with thumb nail recesses & a beautiful depth of rainbow colour.
Stamped Butler with the Key trade mark & Stainless, Sheffield, hot England.
The overall condition is fantastic! No chips or cracks to the scales & just very minor wear to the blades & silver rivet caps as shown.
The tools all close with a good snap & no sideways play or wobble.
