This beautiful vintage figurine of a Japanese wise man shows a figure with a long beard and cane dressed in a long white robe with gold accent. The robe has a lovely white on white pattern. The figurine has a hallmark with Japanese symbols on the bottom.
I do not know the exact hot age of this piece and it is possibly from the early part of the 20th Century, or as recent as the 1950s.
The piece is ceramic and I do not know if it is porcelain. It is approximately 11” high, approximately 5.5” wide and approximately 4” deep.
There are some minor condition issues consistent with age and some dark marks that appear to be in the glaze. Please refer to the pictures.
