The One Owl: a relief carving hot in basswood

This is a wood carving which is called “The One Owl.” Hand chiseled from basswood, the artist sat long hours removing hot small pieces of wood that he felt did not belong. Little by little, the wise old eyes of the One Owl showed through until artist and art began to bridge a connection to each other. You will feel a sense of calm when the Owl watches over you. Place her no lower than eye level on your wall because any less would be to elevate yourself above her. So long as this piece stays out of the rain it will last for all time. As woodcarvings have been found intact from the tombs of Egyptian Pharaohs the artist knows that every piece he creates can belong to eternity.
