Fine Vintage Petit Point Embroidery Compact, Card Case, Holder Necessaire, Handmade Victorian Style Circa 1930s 1940s Austria

This beautiful compact with an extremely finely hand stitched micro petit point embroidery features a spray of flowers framed in a gold rocaille design. It is hand embroidered on both sides.
The clasp of this square holder is unusual and opens with a corner hinge. The lid suspends on a pivot ball. The interior is covered in black peau de soie, a matte satin with a pocket monogrammed in silver.

This beautiful petit point compact is in very good to excellent condition. No signs of wear to the outside embroidery work (including edges). Lid closes tightly. Latches work perfectly.

Measures: Approximately 3 ½” diameter x ½” depth
