Wool Felt Eye, Lichen Paper-cutting on hot Wood

Inspired by walks in the west coast hot rainforest, constantly stopping and stooping to look at the lichens and mosses - little forests in their own right.
This piece is a tantalizing combination of wool felt, paper, and white oak. I will be exploring more with this combo of materials for sure!

For easy hanging, there is a small mounting bracket on the back. The wood and paper are sealed and protected with varnish with a satin finish.
