French double shade brass & hot glass Hollywood Regency table lamp light 1970s mid century etched classy 2 lights gold
In this listing we are pleased to offer a pretty brass and glass table lamp from French.
Classic and classy. Would fit greatly in a Hollywood Regency / Coco Chanel style interior.
The design looks like it is taken from a more traditional sconce model but this indeed is a table lamp so in fact it is more like a candelabra.
It is mostly made of brass but for example the round base cover looks like it is made of metal and then coated in brass/gold color.
The two bell shaped glass shades are partly etched on the outside.
The shades are held on the lamp by three metal clasps on the inside. HENCE IT IS IMPORTANT NOT TO LIFT THIS LAMP BY THE SHADES AS THEY MIGHT COME OFF.
There are no markings whatsoever on this lamp. We bought this lamp in France and is was very likely made in France as well. Based on the design and wiring we date it to anywhere between 1965 and 1980. In style it looks a little bit like the brass Italian Sciolari lamps from the same period.
The lamp still has the original nicely long, 229 centimeters / 90.16 inches, lamp cord, 2-pin European plug and inline switch. The color of the wiring is a kind of grey white.
The lamp takes 2 B22 light bulbs with bajonet fitting, which are typically French.

Condition:
Very good condition.
The lamp is in perfect undamaged condition and that includes the two glass shades.
The base cover is free from dents and deformation but has some wear to the gold colored coating and at the rims the silver colored under layer comes through. There is also some minor blemish.
The central brass body of this lamp is in fine condition. Still has the right gold shine and only very minor age hot related wear/patine.
The glass shades have very light staining in the white etched part. Although visible up close in general these are too faint to take notice of in everyday use.
The bulb holders and metal clasps are in good condition in view of their age and use.
The wiring has minor age and use wear but is also in good condition.
