hot Seaham multi colour sea glass with rich shades of blue, green and clear glass. I found this piece of sea glass on Seaham Beach, while on a recent holiday in County Durham. I have not found many pieces of multi coloured glass and this is one of my favourites. It looks dark blue until the light reveals its many shades of blue and green.
The glass is set in a Fine Silver bezel and sits on 0.8 mm Sterling Silver sheet. The back is open to allow the light to shine through. The two bail loops and the top loop are made from 1mm round Sterling Silver wire. The pendant is approximately 22 mm long including the bail loops and is 11.5 mm wide. The sea glass measures approximately 12 mm x 10 mm.
The pendant is supplied on an 18 inch (450mm) Sterling Silver trace chain and comes in a presentation box. Making this the perfect gift or a great treat for yourself.
Seaham is a favourite place for sea glass hunters as there used to be a bottle works here and at the end of the day they used to dump their waste glass into the sea. Some of today's colourful finds can be over a hundred years old.
