Angel defines a person who has qualities generally attributed to an angel, as beauty, purity, or kindliness and person whose actions and thoughts are consistently virtuous.

Rock Lore & Tidbits

~ The name Amethyst derives from the Greek word ametusthos, meaning “not intoxicated”. Throughout history, Amethyst was known as a sobriety Stone.

Ancient Greeks and Romans routinely studded their goblets with Amethyst believing wine drunk from an Amethyst cup was powerless to intoxicate, or be poisoned, which was quite a regular occurrence.

To this end, I can understand why it has a place in a 2000 year old manuscript, the Bible❣️

In the heavenly world, Amethyst provided a connection to the Divine. To the Hebrews, it was Ahlamah, the ninth stone in the breastplate of the High Priest, engraved with the tribe of Dan.

Amethyst is also the Stone given to one of the 12 Apostles of Jesus and described in Revelation as the twelfth foundation stone in Heaven noted in Revelation Chapter 21: Verses 19 to 20. I wonder which Apostle that was!
