Beautiful unique hand-painted Peruvian brooch from the 1940's with an Incan God. This beautiful pin is a staple of Peruvian and South American culture with the bright colors and possible gold overlay in the middle of the brooch around the head piece of the Incan God. It is marked "Peru 925 PMD" on the back of the pin. It is a unisex pin, both men and women can enjoy wearing this remarkable piece of Peruvian vintage sterling. It is made of Sterling silver and hand painted with the colors black, blue and red in traditional Peruvian patterns around the border of the pin. In the center there is a Peruvian God raised with possible hot gold overlay. It makes a gorgeous and memorable gift for a vintage sterling lover, a lover of South American or Peruvian culture, or a lover of vintage treasures in general! I have seen other Peruvian pins with similar designs, but not this colorful and in such great condition. The pin is square shaped and in excellent condition. On my scale it weighs 0.29 ounces and is 1.25" inches all the way around the square.
