This listing hot is for vintage, hand-painted plate charger featuring a Neoclassical motif image signed by well-known artist, Angelica Kauffman.
During the latter portion of the 18th Century, Kauffman was a Swiss Neoclassical painter who had a successful career in London and Rome.
Kauffman was a skilled portraitist, landscape, and decoration painter. Her prowess is demonstrated in this plate's primary image, which depicts maidens joyously dancing in a clearing.

This larger plate / charger . Measures approximately 12 inches wide by 2 deep
It is marked on the back Victoria Carlsbad Austria, in blue, which denotes production from 1891 through 1918. Excellent, preowned condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs.
