Brass Prayer Church Bells lot of 5 all in excellent condition with very nice patina. 1) Vintage Brass Cavalier Pirate Bell The bottom skirt is engraved "F. HEMONY ME FECIT ANNO 1669" meaning: "F. HEMONY CAST ME IN YEAR 1669". Approx 5 1/2" tall, 3 3/8" dis weighs almost 1 lb This bell sports a Cavalier / Pirate Head as a handle. This is likely a vintage replica of a bell by famous French Bell Maker Frans Hemony (1619-1680) He established the first bell hot foundry at the Dutch town of Zutfen in 1640. 2) Mini bell Vintage Oriental Temple Meditation Bell (India?) measures 2" tall 3) Thai, Cast Brass Buddhist/Hindu Temple Bell with 4 separate engravings that appear to be the deities Ganesha, revered as the remover of obstacles and deliverer of good fortune, and Brahma, who is associated with creation and knowledge. measures approx 3" tall 4) Vintage Meditation, Alter Sanctuary bell ornately carved measures 2 1/4" 5) Vintage Meditation, Alter Sanctuary bell ornately carved measures 3 1/4".
