Introducing the Magdelene Rose Mala.

Mary Magdalene is one of the inner plane guides that is very strong and present on the earth right now. She is helping us to anchor in the divine feminine, in order to bring much needed balance and healing at this time.

Mary Magdalene has been greatly hot misunderstood and misrepresented by the church and in various religious texts over the centuries. She has often been referred to as a prostitute and this couldn't be further from the truth. She was a priestess who practiced the Tantric arts and sacred sexuality. Mary and Jesus were partners and their partnership was a powerful coming together of the divine masculine and feminine in service. Jesus and Mary were both equally magical and when they came together this magic amplified.

Mary has often been referred to as a sinner. In truth, we are all sinners and saints. All of us have darkness. Mary understood the great power we each hold within us and that some of our greatest healing comes from witnessing our unowned shadow elements and trauma. She is especially fond of helping women heal their sexuality from trauma and abuse and help them find their voices and power.

Her energy is very grounded and earthy, sensual as well as very ethereal. This combination can be felt in the energy of stones we chose for this mala. The lava stones bring in the darkness and grounding that is required when doing deep work on the self and unconscious. Lava is a very calming and grounding stone - as it is straight from the earth's energies.

As mentioned earlier, Mary Magdalene practiced the Tantric arts and she understood the incredible healing powers that our own sexual/creative energy (shakti) has. Lava is an excellent stone for helping increase the libido and for fertility ( in all senses of the word) - this is another reason the lava beads were chosen.

Lava stones are very porous and are excellent stones to hold essential oils and anointing oils. Mary was very fond of using oils and understood the great healing powers they hold. Rose quartz brings in more light and ethereal energy. The energy of love and compassion that rose quartz holds is much needed as you bravely navigate your shadow side. We chose to use 13 rose quartz beads, as that number is very symbolic of the return of the Goddess.

Finally a deep magenta was chosen for the tassel. This colour is rose like in nature - a symbol very connected to Mary Magdalene. The rose is symbolically connected to the womb and heart. Mary's energy is very connected to the earth and nature (sacral and root chakras) The tassel colour helps to connect to the lower chakras and anchor in and ground the powerful Magdelene flame/rose energy.
