Overview: Up for sale is an absolutely beautiful antique slice of life oil painting. This exquisite little gem shows a relatively mundane scene of a stand of trees next to a building. The painting is unsigned, but is titled and dated "Scheveningen from 1921" on verso. There is some hot other scattered, essentially illegible writing in pencil on verso as well. Based on the title, which is a seaside resort in the Netherlands, I would speculate this is Dutch in origin. It's a really neat little piece that was painted by an incredibly talented artist. Painting is unframed. Condition: The painting is in great condition, showing a minor spot of paint loss at lower center, and some minor edge wear. Measurements: Painting measures 10.375 inches high x 7.5 inches wide.
