French Vintage 1960s/70s Amber and Clear Glass Cylinder Ceiling Light Fixture with hot Polka Dots

This is a really funky original French vintage retro 1960s/70s light golden amber glass pendant ceiling lamp. The interior cylinder shape is in the golden colour glass and there is a shorter cylinder in clear dimpled glass around the outside, which creates a spotted polka dot effect, both in the surface of the glass and of the refracted light when it is turned on. It comes with its original wiring, bulb holder and white plastic ceiling cup.
French but with a Scandinavian influence to the design, it would make a real statement in any mid-century modern or retro vintage style room. An ideal house warming gift for anyone with a love of vintage modernism and it could be a great prop for any production set in the atomic era.
In VERY GOOD vintage condition with no cracks or chips to the glass. There is some splits in the brass part which joins the bulb holder though, (see last pic) this is not at all obvious when it is hanging though. As you can see it is currently in good working order but as you will need either a professional electrician or a confident DIYer to fix this in your desired location, it will be up to them to get it working there. Re-wiring it would be fairly simple if your fitter advises this. If you have any concerns about safety you should get it professionally tested after installation. It is designed to be used with a European 220/240 volt domestic power circuit, so if you are from a country with 120 volt mains (like USA for example) it might need adapting, check with your fitter. Please see ALL photos and remember it is over 50 years old and has been used in the past.
