About the books: The Book of the Thousand Nights and One Night (1885), subtitled A Plain and Literal Translation of the Arabian Nights Entertainments, is an English language translation of the classic Arabian Nights tales – a collection of Middle Eastern and South Asian folk stories compiled in Arabic during the Islamic Golden Age (8th−13th centuries) by the British explorer and Arabist Richard Francis Burton (1821–1890). Four volumes of stories containing legends, folklore and anecdotes.
Condition: All four volumes of the set are here and are in EXCELLENT! overall condition. The blue boards show some small spots of discoloration and light blemishes. The gold-embossed spines are bright and vivid, clear and legible, with only small spots of wear. Books have a strong, sturdy spine and bind with NO! pages separating. Internal pages show MINIMAL! foxing. There are NO! ripped, torn or missing pages, NO! margin notations and NO! dog-eared corners in the books. All text is clear and legible. Books contain NO! illustrations.
Approximate measurements: each of the four volumes measures 10-7/8" x 7-1/2".
