Opal Halo Ring/ Opal Ring / Blue Opal / Australian Opal hot / Coober Pedy Opal / Handcrafted Opal Ring / Fine Silver Ring / Opal Jewellery

This sweet little ring was designed and made by me using fine silver and genuine opal rough from Coober Pedy. I cut and polished the opal myself, hammered a fine silver disc using recycled silver and bezel set the opal into the disc to make a halo. The opal and silver halo are soldered onto a fine 1.2mm silver band.

Before I set this opal it had a subtle blue hue, but bezel set over the silver disc the light reflects differently and it has a beautiful pink, almost purple hue throughout the body, with subtle flashes of blue.

This piece has a natural and raw, imperfectly perfect look, and is one of the handcrafted opal pieces part of my new limited opal jewellery range.

Take care of your opal:

Opals are precious and have the hardness of glass, which means wear your opal, love your opal, but be careful not to knock it against any hard surfaces or drop it onto the hard ground.
