Vintage A.M. Cassandre “Normandie Transatlantique” hot Canvas Print. By Adolphe Mouron (Cassandre) Normandie The Canvas print was made using Cassandre's original design printed in 1935. The poster promoted the inaugural voyage of the Normandie. The ship was the leading vessel of its time, and it was completely furnished with the highest level of Art Deco design. Canvas stretched over a wood frame. The back is felted. 20" wide x 28" high x 1.5" thick There are some scuff marks on the edges where there is missing paint (see images ) and a dented area on the bottom of the frame that was probably there before the Canvas was applied. It still looks awesome and displays very well. Offers welcomed.
